Hansra Consulting and Advisory Services originated as a small educational consulting, sole proprietorship in 2013 aimed at helping the nonprofit sector to enhance their curricular offerings to their participants, and to consider how data and research can assist in operational and programmatic effectiveness. As projects grew, Hansra Consulting and Advisory Services (HCAS), LLC officially launched in 2015.
In 2018, I embarked on a new and empowering journey, focusing entirely on building HCAS as a place to follow my passion and lead a business aligned to my own moral, ethical, and purpose-driven Vocation. As a woman of color, I feel a strong responsibility to create a space where people can be their authentic selves, never living in fear of contributing new ideas, pushing back, or advocating for their perspectives. This is how we learn, grow, and maintain a sense of responsibility to ourselves, each other, and those whom we serve.
As a leader, my role is to be an advocate for my team and those whom we serve. My leadership philosophy is one that assumes I will occasionally stand in front of my team as to set the North Star and remove obstacles ahead, behind them as to create conditions for my team to lead and grow in their own leadership and competence, and, most often, next to them, standing side by side with my team, working collaboratively to think, ideate, strategize, and execute in the most responsible ways possible, honoring the voices of those in the room, those who are not yet in the room, and those we aim to serve.
I offer my sincere gratitude to those who have come before me, in constant recognition that I am standing on the tall shoulders of those who have paved the way for me and women like me. With this gratitude comes an immense responsibility to create a space where others can be uplifted on their own professional journey, to look back and bring others along with me, and to honor those helpers who contribute to our collective growth and development along the way.
